Employability Skills Training program, series -2

Report on the second series of EST program at ICM Computers. Second series of the Employability skills training program was conducted, on Second Saturday, 14th October 23 at ICM Computers Thalayolapparambu from 9.30 am to 1 pm. Secretary General, M. Raju made the welcome speech and introduced the faculties of the day to the participants. Objectives and scope of the training was delivered by him. Sri. N. Shine Kumar President VMA delivered the message to team continuing the good work in association with ICM Computers. Sri. Sojan Jose Director ICM Computers appealed the participants to make use of the free training to build up a career. First session was a motivational speech by the famous motivational speaker Mr. Preeth Bhaskar, an EC member of VMA. The talk focused on the mind setting and improvement in confidence level. He stressed on the need to utilize the opportunities coming in the way. Participants enjoyed the live session. Session -2 was delivered by Sri. P. Rajendra Prasad, founder President of VMA and Director Malabar Cements Ltd. He talked about the selection of job and resume preparation tips. He taught the general awareness of facing interview with better frame of mind and pointed out the common mistakes made by the candidates. Session -3 was handled by Sri. M. N. Prasad, former General Manager NTPC & EC member VMA on the topic SWOT analysis. The interactive session with the self introduction by the candidates was live and enjoyed by all. Session -4 by Smt. Indira. N. G, Retd. Employment Officer talked about career guidance and the support of the Kerala State Employment exchange. Ms. Suthy, Placement Officer of ICM Computers expressed the vote of thanks. The efforts taken by the team ICM need special appreciation. Interested candidates were informed about the training session through contact numbers and further ensured their availability in time. 40 students reported today for the training, from basic qualifications SSLC(1), +2 (4), Degree , B.Tech & PG. Five students who attended the session last month reported this time. Overall assessment is that the students in our area require fine tuning. Next session falls on the second Saturday, 11th November 23.

VMA Monthly Program - October 23

 Report on the monthly program 8th October 23@ Mandavappallil Estate, K.S.Mangalam. The meeting started with a prayer song. M. Raju, Secretary General VMA made the welcome speech. He recollected the fact that VMA had conducted programs on the Gandhi Jayanti days of '21 & '22, as observance of day. Since the Centenary celebration of Vaikom Satyagraha is underway, hence the topic of the program was selected as Vaikom Satyagraha & Mahatma Gandhi. SG welcomed the speaker Sri. Sukumaran Moolekkattu and his wife Smt. Sobhana Sukumaran, guests, special invitees, media representatives, VMA members and family. Sri. N. Shine Kumar, made the presidential address. He apprised the chief guest of the day, Sri. Sukumaran Moolekkattu and his knowledge and close interaction with the various leaders of Vaikom Satyagraha later on. He hoped that the participants will be enlightened by the facts, quotes, observations and comments expected to be delivered by the speaker. Sri. Anil Kumar. K. S, Treasurer VMA introduced the speaker to the audience. Sri. Sukumaran Moolekkattu expressed his happiness to deliver a talk on the topic in which he has made a lot of research. Many of his words came from the heart and were highly enjoyed by the audience. His one hour speech covered his golden experience during the preparation of the souvenir brought out by him during the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Vaikom Satyagraha on behalf of Vaikom municipality, his interactions with the then prominent leaders like late Sri. K. P. Kesava Menon, Sri. M. G. Ramachandran, former Chief Minister of Madras and so on. Dr. N. K. Sasidharan, Sri. A. Saifuddin, Adv. P. Venu and K. P. Sivaji asked questions about the topic in the interactive session which followed. Each clarification was mind blowing experience to all. VMA presented a gift to the speaker as a token of respect. Sri. P. Rajendra Prasad founder President of VMA made the presentation, received by Sri. Sukumaran and his wife Smt. Sobhana Sukumaran. Sri. Sukumaran Moolekkattu presented a copy of his epic book "Vaikom Satyagraham, oru ithihasa samaram" to VMA. President Sri. Shine Kumar and Secretary General, M. Raju received the book from the author. Sri. T. Rajendran, Vice President VMA expressed the vote of thanks. VP expressed the members wish to lend ears to Sri. Sukumaran Moolekkattu to learn further about this topic in a later time. Meeting came to an end by 7 pm which was followed by tea and snacks.

Monthly program-10th September '23 @ Rotary Community Hall, Vaikom Meeting started with a prayer song. Meeting observed one minute silence in respect of the victims of Morocco earthquake tragedy. Dr. N. K. Sasidharan made the welcome speech. Sri. N. Shine Kumar delivered the presidential address and Highlighted the prominence of the topic of discussion on the day *"The secrets of Inner-mind Re-engineering", besides narrating the recent activities of VMA. Meeting honoured Sri. Sojan Jose for the achievement of ICM Computers, getting selected as Centre of Excellence amongst private ITI s of the State.* Founder President Sri. P. Rajendra Prasad , made the honouring by draping the ponnada in the presence of all office bearers. VMA, congratulated our Member, Mr. K. Ajith Kumar , Retd ED, BPCL, who is recently appointed as Chairman, Board for Public Sector Transformation 💐. VMA wishes him all the very best in his new assignment 🙏. Sri. T. Rajendran , VP introduced the speaker Sri. Vaikom Nandanan. He presented the topic with the support of detailed power point presentation. Speaker Elaborated the different state and 7 stages of the mind. A demonstration of meditation was carried out for the participants to realise the Mind power by giving undivided focus to it. Faculty concluded his presentation stating that, *"The Body and Mind are Not Separate. What affects the one, affects the other too. Interactive session was live by members raising doubts about the control of temper, phobia etc. Convincing Clarification on the queries was delivered by Sri. Nandanan . Meeting congratulated the *Winners of the World Environment Day contest* conducted in connection with the online program on 6th June '23. Environment friendly gifts were awarded to Mr. Rajan.P. V, Mr. M. N. Prasad, Mrs. Geetha Prasad and Mr. A. Saifuddin, by Sri. K. N. Raveedran, former President VMA, Sri. S. Aneesh, founder Secretary General VMA and Sri. T. Rajendran,, VP. As a token of respect, a gift was presented to Sri. Vaikom Nandanan on behalf of VMA, by Adv. P. Venu, Immediate Past President VMA. Sri. M. Raju Secretary General VMA expressed the vote of thanks. Meeting came to an end with *National Anthem.* Tea and snacks were provided to the participants. Meeting was attended by 32 participants, including few prospective Members and Guests.

Employability Skills Training Program -1

Report on Employability skills Training program conducted at ICM Computers, Thalayolapparambu on 9th Sept. '23 Meeting started with a prayer song by Ms. Teena of ICM. Training program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp jointly by Sri. N. Shine Kumar, President VMA, M. Raju, Secretary General, Sri. Sojan Jose, Director ICM and EC member, VMA, Sri. M. N. Prasad, EC member VMA, Smt. Indira. N. G, Vice President VMA, Sri. T. R. Suresh, Secretary Program and Mrs. Meera, a candidate representative. Sri. Sojan Jose, Director ICM made the welcome speech. An introductory speech on the scope and conduct of the training was delivered by Mr. M. Raju, Secretary General. He spoke about the role of VMA in the Job Fairs conducted recently in and around Vaikom. Sri. N. Shine Kumar, President VMA in his inaugural address made an inspiring speech on mindset of candidates for aiming high. He stressed the necessity of students and candidates seeking job to adapt with the scenario prevailing and equip them ready to take challenges. Session.2 by Smt. Indira. N. G, Retired Employment Officer, Employment exchange:-Career planning and various opportunities in Govt., Semi Govt., and self employment. Madam dealt with the career guidance and support of the Government agency in the field, namely Kerala state Employment exchange. Her speech was highly beneficial for the candidates for availing the benifits offered by the agency and it's statutory requirements. Session 3 by Sri. M. N. Prasad, former General manager, NTPC : Demonstrative session on practical aspects of facing interview. He covered the topic SWOT analysis, preparation of resume, adaptation to the job requirements, interview skills. The session was highly interactive and conducted a mock interview. He stressed the need to overcome hurdles of public speaking. Mrs. Meera and Mr. Gokul participants, in their feedback, appreciated the efforts and support extended by VMA and ICM. Ms. Grace , student and participant from ICM Computers expressed the vote of thanks. 50 out of the total 55 participants reported by 8.30 am and the sessions concluded by 12.50 pm. Excellent and appreciable efforts was taken by team ICM in this regard. It was decided to continue the training program as planned earlier on every second Saturday of the coming months. Next session falls on 14th October '23.


Monthly Program - August 2023

The second program of the month was the monthly program for August '23. A live and interesting session on the topic "Aspirations over Mission CHANDRAYAAN-3" was arranged Online on 15th August '23 (Independence Day), Tuesday at 7 pm. Sri. M. Raju, Secretary General VMA made the welcome speech. Sri. P. Rajendra Prasad, founder President of VMA, introduced the speaker, Dr Rajagopal Kamath, a well-known researcher and journalist. Sri. N. Shine Kumar, President VMA in his presidential address pointed out the importance of the conduct of the program on Independence Day, as our country is on, the bigger expectations of the mission. Dr. Rajagopal Kamath is a prominent speaker on the topic with the expertise of conducting many programs on Astro Physics and the Environment. He elaborated on the status of our development and research in the field and its international accreditation. An interactive session was live, Er. T. Rajendran and Sri. P. Venu raised questions on the topic which were answered by the speaker. Adv. P. Venu, former President of VMA, expressed his vote of thanks.

Lakshya Job Fair '23

VMA, in association with ICM Computers, conducted "Lakshya Job Fair '23, on 5th August '23 at ICM Computers, Thalayolapparambu. 540 candidates attended the interview session through Google forms free entry. 23 Employers turned up for the selection process of around 1200 opportunities. 215 Participants got shortlisted and is undergoing the selection procedure. Candidates from the districts of Kottayam, Ernakulam and Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta turned up to attend the job fair.VMA offered a help desk for the candidates to prepare to attend the interview. The event was a grand success by the concerted efforts of VMA, ICM Computers Thalayolapparambu.

VMA Monthly Program - July '23

Second monthly program for the month July '23. A learning session on the topic Chat GPT was arranged online on 29th July '23, Saturday at 7 pm. Mr. M. Raju, Secretary-General, and VMA made the welcome speech. Mrs. Lekshmi. R. Nair, Asst. Professor, CST, College of Engineering, Cherthala and member VMA, introduced the speaker, Mr. Nidhin. R, Asst. Professor, Dept of Computer Science and Technology, Providence College, Chengannur. Mr. Nidhin has rich experience on the conduct of various sessions on this topic. He used his expertise and knowledge on the same and impressed all participants through simple but authentic presentation. He illustrated the latest developments in the varied fields of Artificial intelligence and particularly Chat GPT. He talked about the comparison and competition prevailing in the particular field, how the humanity is handling the technology. Power point presentation helped the participants to know the benefits of the modern tool of AI. Sri. N. Shine Kumar, President VMA expressed satisfaction in the conduct of such beneficial learning sessions. He pointed out that VMA has conducted similar sessions on AI and Machine Learning in the past. In the interactive session, Er. T. Rajendran and Sri. Vaikom Nandanan raised valid questions on the topic, which were well answered by the speaker. Er. A. Saifuddin former Secretary General expressed vote of thanks.

South India Co-ordination online meeting of Local Management Associations.

Mr. M. Raju, Secretary General, VMA represented Vaikom Management Association in the online meeting of South India Local Management Association on Zoom platform. Activities of VMA during the past six months and its future planned events were presented by the Secretary General

Kanavu 2023 Job Fair

VMA conducted Kanavu 2023 Job Fair, at the Travancore Dewaswam Board College, Thalayolapparambu, Vaikom on 1st of July '23. Sri. K. P. Sajilal, member of Kerala Public Service Commission inaugurated the event in a meeting attended by the President VMA, Sri. N. Shine Kumar, Dr. S. Anitha, Principal of the College and Sri. Sojan Jose, Director ICM Computers and EC member of VMA. 600+ Candidates attended the interview sessions, offering free entry, through Google forms. 40 Employers turned up for the selection process of around 1000 job vacancies. 245 Participants got shortlisted and is now undergoing the selection procedure. Candidates from the districts of Kottayam, Ernakulam and Alappuzha turned up to attend the job fair. The event was a grand success by the concerted efforts of VMA, ICM Computers and Dewaswam Board College Thalayolapparambu.

Observance of International Day for Yoga

Observance of International Day for Yoga. Online program in connection with the International day for Yoga was conducted online on Google meet on 23rd June 2023, Friday from 7.30 pm to 9 pm... Adv. V. R. B. Nair, Yoga & Wellness trainer (Former Chief Manager SBT), delivered a presentation on the theme of the year Vasudhaiva Kudumbakam. Sri. Anil Kumar. K. S, Treasurer, VMA made the welcome speech and introduced the speaker to the participants. Sri. N. Shine Kumar delivered the presidential address, stressed the need to follow Yoga for the upkeep of the humanity. Sri. V. R. B. Nair, known as VRB among the group of very large followers in and around Kottayam under the banner Sadhaka Samajam. He explained the prominence of date 21st June on which the day for Yoga is observed world wide. Importance of Vasudhaiva Kudumbakam in the present world. He described about the various types of Yoga and its benefits. A demonstration of yoga session was conducted for the participants. The participants thoroughly enjoyed the live session. VMA hoped to conduct a physical program on the event next year. Mr. M. Raju, Secretary General, VMA expressed the vote of thanks. The online program was attended by 42 participants.

Observance of World Environment Day

Observance of World Environment Day. A talk on the topic #Beat Plastic Pollution was carried out by Dr. G. Madhu, former Principal, Cochin University of Science and Technology was the keynote speaker. Meeting started with a prayer song. Meeting observed one minute silence to pay homage to the victims of Balasore train tragedy. Mr. M. Raju, Secretary General, VMA made the welcome speech. Sri. N. Shine Kumar, President VMA made the presidential address highlighted the importance of the theme of the year #Beat Plastic Pollution. Mrs. Lekshmi. R. Nair, member, VMA introduced the speaker. Dr. Madhu, a life member of VMA and a prominent figure in the field of environmental science delivered an absorbing session on the topic. He explained the scenario with the support of power point presentation for the benefit of the participants. Interactive session was live, queries raised by the members, Er. T. Rajendran, Er. P. Rajendra Prasad was answered by Dr. Madhu. A. Saifuddin, former Secretary General expressed the vote of thanks. The online meeting on Google Meet was attended by 35 participants.

Employability Skills Training Program

Employability skills training program conducted by VMA on Monday, 29th May 2023 at St. Xavier's College Kothavara. Sri. Roy Mathew of St. Xavier's College made the welcome speech, followed by the presidential address by Dr. Gimson. J. Parambil, Principal. Newly elected President of VMA Mr. N. Shine Kumar inaugurated the program. M. Raju, Secretary General made the introductory speech and introduced the speakers. Sri. A. Saifuddin, former Principal Power Engineers Training centre KSEB and Sri. M. N. Prasad, former General Manager, NTPC led two sessions on various fields of employability skills. The sessions were followed by mock interviews and group discussion. 62 Students participated in the training. Dr. Saritha Ramachandran and Mrs. Parvathy Chandran of the College supported the conduct of the event. Students expressed gratitude on the conduct of a beneficial training program by VMA.

13th Annual General Meeting

Report of 13th Annual General Meeting dated 28th May 2023.. Meeting started with a prayer. Sri. Aneesh, VP made the welcome speech. Dr. N. K. Sasidharan, Secretary Admn presented the minutes of 12th AGM as per the By-law. The meeting approved the minutes. Adv. P. Venu President VMA, in his presidential address highlighted the activities carried out during the last one year with the support of the EC members. He thanked the Corporate members and individual members for the support extended to all endeavours. M. Raju, Secretary General presented the 13th Annual Report as ratified by the EC on the meeting held on 14th May 2023. Draft of the report was made available digitally prior to the meeting to all members. The report was presented to audience through PowerPoint presentation, illustrated and discussed. Secretary General highlighted the gist of the events organised by the team work that made the events possible and achievements therefrom. Association with the ICM Computers and the conduct of Job Fairs and skill development program were projected. Secretary General expressed gratitude to AIMA for providing financial assistance for the purchase of essential items after a gap of 4 years. Financial report and highlights were presented by the Treasurer, Sri. Anil Kumar. K. S, as part of the report. Auditor's report and comparative figures were mentioned. Both of them, thanked the members and EC team for their unstinting support and cooperation. The meeting evaluated the performance and the report presented was passed. The next part was the selection of Auditor for the next year 2023-24. The Treasurer informed that the present Auditor, Ms. Thomas Associates, Chartered Accountants Vaikom have proposed for hike of ₹.1000/- in fees for the next audit. The meeting approved the proposal. No resolutions were received. President invited observations and comments from the participants. Meeting appreciated the performance of VMA during the period. Next part was the conduct of election to the EC for the period 2023-24. Sri. A. Saifuddin, was the Returning Officer entrusted by the EC for the conduct of the election took over the dias and invited nominations. As no nominations were received, the outgoing EC after discussions among members proposed for a panel of members. Sri. Aliyar. E. A, made the proposal and Sri. M. Jayadevan seconded. Sri. S. Aneesh VP informed his inconvenience to hold the position due to official obligations and requested for his release from EC. Smt. Geetha Devi, VP undergoing a bed rest after an accident was also relieved. 14 member EC proposal was declared elected by the Returning Officer. The general opinion of the AGM was to continue the same EC and OB. But due to the special requests Sri. S. Aneesh, Smt. Geetha Devi withdrew. Adv. P. Venu also requested to be relieved from the post of President VMA on grounds of professional etiquette . Mr. Shijo Mathew, Secretary Program also expressed his limitations due to business obligations. The meeting discussed and approved the requests. The general body unanimously selected Sri. N. Shine Kumar as the President of VMA for the next term. Meeting authorised the executive Committee to fill up the other posts of Office bearers rendered vacant because of the withdrawal of the respective members from EC . AGM expressed trust and faith on the new team.


UNARVU Mega Job Fair '23

 VMA in association with ICM Computers, Thalayolapparambu, Vaikom Block Panchayath, Kudumbashree Mission, Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission and host St. Xaviers College, vaikom (Kothavara) conducted Unarvu 2023 mega Job fair. 626 candidates attended the Job fair . 27 Employers turned up for the recruitment of employees.. 361 candidates got selected and shortlisted. The event was inaugurated by the Hon. Member of Parliament, Sri..Thomas Chazhikkadan. Sri. K. K. Renjith, President, Vaikom Block Panchayath , presided the function. Rev. Fr. Reju Kannambuzha, Manager, St. xaviers College, Dr. Gimson. J. parambil, Principal, St. xaviers college, Sri. B. L. Sebastian, President, Thalayazham Panchayath, , Smt. Haimy Baby, Member, Kottayam Jilla Pancjayath, Adv. P. Venu, President, VMA spoke on the occasion. VMA conducted a free training for the candidates prior to the interview.

Lakshya Job Fair

VMA in association with the placement wing of ICM Computers, Thalayolapparambu conducted a Mega Job Fair on 6th may 2023 from 9 am to 3 pm. 1234 candidates registered through Google form , 632 appeared for interview and 225 got shortlisted selection.. 22 Employers in private sector turned up for the recruitment.. VMA Operated a helpdesk to assist the candidates for selection of posts and trained them for attending the interviews.

VMA Monthly Program - April '23

Monthly Program -2; April 2023. The second monthly program of April 2023 was held on Sunday 30th April 2023, 4 pm at Mandavappallil Estate, Kulasekharamangalam, Vaikom. The keynote speaker of the program was Sri. M.R.Pradeep, Dy. Drugs controller Retd, GOK and the topic was “Everything You Want To Know About the Usage of Medicines”. Dr. N.K.Sasidharan, Secretary Administration welcomed the participants. Sri. Anil Kumar. K.S, President in charge made the presidential address highlighted the ongoing plans and programs of VMA and expressed happiness on the successful conduct of the “Foundation day”. VMA always select topics of prominence and identify suitable person for delivering the message. Introduction of the speaker was done by the Secretary General Mr. M.Raju. Keynote speaker illustrated the minute aspects of usage of medicines, its rules and regulations from manufacture to sale point. He raised concern over the unhealthy practices prevailing in the scenario. Side effects of medicines and vaccines were all discussed. He elaborated the manufacturing field developments and clinical test methods with power point presentation. All participants thoroughly enjoyed the session and was quite evident in the interactive session which followed. A memento was awarded to the keynote speaker by the senior most member of VMA, Dr. Ramesan. Vote of thanks was expressed by the Secretary General, M. Raju.

Training & Awareness Program for Haritha Karma Sena

Monthly Program 1. Training & Awareness program for Haritha Karma Sena A training program for awareness of the waste management methods was conducted on 4th April 2023, Tuesday from 3 pm to 5.30 pm at Mandavappallil Estate. VMA, as part of the International Women’s Day has honoured the best performers of Haritha Karma Sena members from the local self government bodies and had good impact on the society, particularly improved the morale of the hard working and neglected group, Haritha Karma Sena (Waste collection group entrusted by the local self government body, a Government of Kerala initiative). We invited two of our local panchayaths, Chembu Grama Panchayath and Maravanthuruth Grama Panchayath to undergo a training and awareness program covering all aspects of waste management. List of all haritha Karma Sena members were provided by the Grama Panchayaths and we invited all members personally with the information of our objective.53 Members of the group from 2 Grama Panchayath attended our training program. Dr. N. K. Sasidharan, Secretary-Administration, made the welcome speech, highlighted the importance of waste management and the need for the conduct of such training programs. Adv.P.Venu, President, VMA in his presidential address expressed happiness for the participation of all members on our request. In a period when Kerala is facing many issues related with waste management, the prominence of such program is highly important. An awareness session was handled by Sri. M. Raju, Secretary General, VMA based on his experience in pollution control department. The session was lively and interactive with the participants. The participants shared their positive and negative experiences faced during their work scenario. Expert comments on the topic were made by Sri. T.K.Suvarnan, President Kerala Sastra Sahithya Parishath, Local Unit and Smt. Ambily Prasanna Kumar, former President, Maravanthuruth Grama Panchayath. Smt. Indira.N.G, Chairperson of VMA Women’s wing took a session on Insurance and baking beneficial to the HKS group. Representatives of the participant group made their feedback remarks. A feedback form was provided and collected with their remarks to plan the continuity of the scheme. Smt. Indira.N.G expressed the vote of thanks.

VMA in association with Pala Management Association conducted first Online joint venture program on Zoom platform on 30th March 2023 at 7 pm. Sri. V. B. Pyarelal, IAS, Former Asst. Chief Secretary, Govt. of Assam, delivered a talk on Decision Making in Government.. Sri. Suresh Babu, Secretary General, Pala Management Association made the welcome speech. Er. 14th Foundation Day of VMA

Report of the 14th Foundation Day. The theme of VMA "Management is Relationship" achieved it's goal by the conduct of an event on the Aniversary. VMA was formed on 28th March 2010 by the management enthusiasts of Vaikom and it's premises. The foundation Day was celebrated for the first time yesterday in the history of VMA. The auspicious day was linked with the objective of International Women's Day. Highlighting the theme " Embrace Equity", VMA honoured the silent and hard working women group " Haritha Karma Sena". The performers of the group was identified by the local self government bodies on our request. All the local self government bodies responded to our call and offered support to our initiative , nominations of best performers were forwarded officially with the required data like, address, mobile number and photos. We took the challenge to communicate with the 15 nominees, collected and checked the informations and made all of them available for the function. We were fortunate to have the Chief Guest of the day, Smt. Sheela Thomas, IAS Retd, Chairperson of Kerala Rubber Limited. She accepted our invitation, avoided her weekly travel to her residence at Thiruvananthapuram and took part in the function. Madam, a person simplified, enjoyed and appreciated our initiative and communicated with the award winners, much to the delight of them. The meeting was well presented by Mr. Preeth Bhaskar, VMA member and motivational speaker. Vice President of VMA and founder Secretary General made the welcome address highlighting the history of VMA. Adv. P. Venu, President VMA made the presidential address and expressed the prominence of foundation Day and it's link with the International Women's Day. This earned wonderful results by bringing up the unidentified women force to the forefront. The event got it's colour by the presence of the celebrity of Vaikom, Dr. Vaikom Vijayalakshmi. More over, acknowledging the initiative, she came forward to sponsor the award offered to the Haritha Karma Sena members. Smt. Indira. N. G. EC member VMA introduced the chief guest. Chief Guest, Smt. Sheela Thomas in her keynote address, appreciated the performance of VMA and supported the initiative to bring the Haritha Karma Sena to the forefront. Presidents of 3 local panchayat attended the function. Other 3 could not make it available due other engagements. The Chairperson of Vaikom Municipality was engaged with the preparations of Vaikom Sathyagraha centrenary celebrations. Sri. P. Rajendra Prasad, Founder President of VMA spoke on the topic "Solid Waste Management", highly informative to the audience in this context. Chief Guest hounered the 15 Haritha Karma Sena members by providing memento and gift. The members were thrilled on their acknowledgment and shared their happiness on their feedback. They got the value of their job recognised, for the first time. For VMA Chief Guest honoured the former office bearers available at the function. Sri. P. Rajendra Prasad, the founder President, Sri. A. Saifuddin, Sri. T. Rajendran, Sri. Cyriak Palackal, Sri. N. Shine Kumar, Sri. K. P. Asok Kumar, Sri. M. Jayadevan, Sri. V. G. Krishna Kumar, Sri. Aliyar. E. A. VMA honoured the talents, Smt. Ushadevi and Sri. Prasad Rajan (in the field of art) and Smt. Indira. N. G., for her contribution to women empowerment. As a token of acknowledgment VMA presented memento and gifts to the Chief Guest. President, Adv. P. Venu handed over the memento, gift by the Secretary General M. Raju. Sri. Prasad Rajan presented a portrait of madam created by him. Available LSG heads, Smt. Anandavally, President of Udayana puram GP, Smt. K. B. Rema, President of Maravanthuruth GP and Sri. K. R. Shylakumar, President Vechoor GP, spoke on the occasion and appreciated the VMA initiative. Adv. K. P. Sivaji, Secretary Public Relations, VMA expressed his vote of thanks. Meeting dispersed after National Anthem. Around 60 participants attended by function. Meeting ended with the "Traditional Sadya".

17th Management Day & 67th Foundation Day of AIMA was celebrated online on 21st February 2023, at 7.30 pm on Google Meet. Brig. (Dr.) Sandes made the keynote speech on the topic India @75, The Road Ahead, AIMA Theme of the year.

Charly Paul, motivational speaker, writer and social worker on the topic "Say No to Drugs".. Students partcipated in the program took pledge against anti narcotism.

VMA Inhouse program January 2023, was held on 22th January 2023, Sunday, 4 p.m at Mandavappallil estate, Kulasekharamangalam, Vaikom. Two sessions on different topic was conducted. The first session was a talk by Er. T. Rajendran, Retd. Chief Engineer, Kerala Water Authority,(EC Member, VMA) on the topic "Virtual Water". The second session was a talk on the topic "Good Parenting and Happy Child" by Sri. Preeth Bhaskar, Motivational Speaker, Writer, new VMA member.

Lakshya Job Fair 2023

VMA in association with Confederation of Indian Industries and the host, ICM computers Thalayolapparambu, conducted "LAKSHYA JOB FEST" on 14th January 2023. Nearly 400 candidates attended and 15 employers offered jobs. VMA operated a help desk for the candidates for the improvement of their skills, prior to the interview.

Rajendra Prasad, for being appointed as the Director, Malabar Cements Ltd (Founder President of VMA). Dr. G. Madhu, for achieving the Best Engineer Award from the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, Kochi Regional Centre.

12th Annual General Meeting of VMA was held on 24th July 2022, Sunday, 4.30. p.m at the White Gate Residency, Vaikom. 12th Annual Reports and Accounts were passed by the AGM. Revised by-law, recommended by the EC was presented by SG and the resolution was approved by the AGM. Elections to the EC members for the period 2022-23 conducted and the new Office bearers were selected. The new President elected is Adv. P.Venu.
