Employability Skills Training Series-3

VMA continued the 3rd series of Employability skills training program at ICM Computers Thalayolapparambu, on 11th November 2023.

Program started with a silent prayer. Smt. Indira. N. G, Vice President VMA made the welcome speech and introduced VMA and faculties of the day to the participants.

Sri. Sojan Jose Director ICM Computers made an appeal to the participants to involve in the session and be grateful to receive the free training extended to them.

First session was a motivational speech by Sri. N. Shine Kumar, President of VMA. He talked about career development and utilizing opportunities through advancement of various soft skills and nurturing positive attitude. Second session was handled by Sri. M. Raju, Secretary General VMA. He illustrated the job scenario prevailing in the state and necessity to adapt to the requirements. Third session was by Sri. Vaikom Nandanan, famous HR Consultant, Clinical Hypnotherapist and motivational speaker. He talked about the mindset and approach of the current young generation. Corrective measures were proposed to overcome the common problems faced by them. Session concluded with a meditation deeply enjoyed all participants.

Ms. Anjali Ajimon, expressed the vote of thanks. 49 students attended the half day workshop from 9.30 am to 1 pm. Participants comprised of 7 Post graduates, 14 Degree holders, 2 Diploma holders and 26 Plus two students.

Monthly Program-November 2023


Monthly program of VMA for the month of November 2023 was held on Sunday, 26th November 2023, 4.30 pm at Mandavappallil estate. The meeting started with a prayer song and observed one minute silence on the sad demise of victims of CUSAT stampede tragedy.

Sri. Anil Kumar. K. S., Treasurer VMA made the welcome speech and introduced the keynote speaker. Sri. N. Shine Kumar in his presidential address highlighted the prominence of Empathy in everyday life. Sri. Preeth Bhaskar expressed happiness to share his thoughts on the topic with the elite group. He explained the terms, Sympathy, Empathy and Compassion in different contexts, its relevance and importance. He discussed the views of the audience in specific context examples.

Sri. A. Saifuddin, Sri. Vaikom Nandanan and Sri. T. K. Suvarnan shared their views in the interactive session which followed. Sri. D. Narayanan Nair, former Vice President VMA, presented a gift to Sri Preeth Bhaskar for VMA. Sri. M. Raju Secretary General VMA expressed the vote of thanks.

Meeting came to an end with national anthem.

M.Raju, Secretary-General, VMA participated in the online meeting on Zoom platform on 7th November ’23 and presented the activities of VMA, conducted during the last 3 months and the future plans.
